Personal Butler Robot

The first robot that I ever built was my butler robot. There were many predecessors to the current butler robot which can pour drinks and talk fluently .

Version 1:

My first ever butler robot was a very simple robot. I glued bicycle wheels to Power Wheels motors and mounted the the motors to a wooden frame. Two casters taken off from chairs were put in front and I used a Phidgets interface kit to control the whole thing . I also used Dragon Naturally Speaking as the Speech Recognition Engine and made a very simple interface to the robot. This robot could drive around by voice command and be controlled remotely on a web server.

Version 2:

My second attempt at a butler robot involved wheelchair motors I bought off eBay. It had the same functions as version 1 but was faster and had a longer runtime with the newly bought wheelchair motors.

Version 3:

I rebuilt my butler robot vertically and added a mini-fridge. I also redid the interface program.
